Cryptocurrency Price Today: Bitcoin Crosses $43,000 Mark, Most Altcoins Record Profit

Bitcoin recorded a profit of 1.38% on Thursday, December 28th. With this, the value of Bitcoin rose to the price of $43,064 (approximately Rs. 35.8 lakh). In the last 24 hours, the value of Bitcoin increased by $846 (approximately 70,426 rupees). At the time of writing, Bitcoin maintained a market dominance of 49.9%. Despite the slight rise in Bitcoin prices, it is actually Ether that shines the brightest on Thursday.

Ethereum touched the $2,400 mark (around Rs. 1.99 lakh) with a rise of almost 9% in the last 24 hours.

“Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin recently expressed his interest in revamping Ethereum Proof of Stake, which has created positive sentiment around the largest altcoin,” Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin, told Gadgets360.

Ethereum hit its 19-month high of touching the $2,500 mark (around Rs. 2.08 lakh).

“ETH and its scaling solutions, almost all major layer-2s recorded significant gains, with Arbitrum ARB (+26.7%) leading the way; Optimism OP (+22.2%) also observed major gains,” the CoinSwitch Markets Desk told Gadgets360.

Tron, Chain shirt, Shiba Inu, CardanAND Dogemoneta has emerged among the winners in the cryptocurrency ranking.

Bitcoin wrapped, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, UniswapAND Cosmos they also minted smaller profits.

The cryptocurrency market capitalization, at the time of writing, stood at $1.69 trillion (around Rs 1,40,65,810 crore) after growing 2.47 percent in the last 24 hours, it showed CoinMarketCap.

In the meantime, Bind, Solana, Currency in USD, Avalanche, Polka dotAND Polygon posted losses on Thursday.
