Startup Investors Are Piggybacking on AI, Abandon Cryptocurrencies

Silicon Valley venture capitalists are racing to get in on AI companies, including investors who once bet big on cryptocurrencies.

In the most recent quarter, VCs spent less on cryptocurrency and digital asset companies than at any time since 2020, according to data from research firm PitchBook. At the same time, the total global value of AI investments for the April-June period was higher than that of cryptocurrency, even at its peak.
