Trump and Biden meme coins surge after Trump meets with NFT holders
Meme coins inspired by current US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have experienced surges over the past 24 hours after Trump spoke about crypto at his dinner for NFT holders.
CoinMarketCap data reveals that the Trump-themed meme coin, MAGA (TRUMP), shot up more than 44%. Likewise, Jeo Boden (BODEN), a coin with a misspelled tribute to President Joe Biden, rose more than 22%.

CoinMarketCap The meme coin market capitalization category page identified the three biggest meme coin gainers in the last 24 hours: Donald Tremp was up 122%, MAGA was up 44%, and Jeo Boden was up 22%.
Contrasting these gains, Bitcoin (Bitcoin) was trading around $60,800, reflecting a 2.4% decline over the same period. Ethereum (ETH) also saw a decline, dropping more than 1.4% to approximately $2,950.
The presidential-themed rally meme coins comes after Trump announced on Wednesday that it intends to accept cryptocurrencies for campaign donations.
In several music videos posted to X by anonymous DeGods NFT holder Malcolm, the former president addressed a group of NFT buyers, expressing his support for crypto donations.
“If you can’t do it, I’ll make sure you can,” Trump said in a speech. “Can we donate to the Trump campaign using crypto? I believe the answer is yes.”
The announcement fueled the rise of Trump-inspired meme coins, emphasizing the growing intersection between cryptocurrency and political fundraising.
Trump has had many ventures in the crypto space, including offering NFT Cards in multiple chains, attacking CBDCsit’s near US$3 million in crypto holdings.
